Art Stevens' distinguished career in public relations spans more than 40 years, as a practitioner, author, lecturer and head of one of the world's largest and most successful agencies. He is widely acknowledged as one of the profession's most respected leaders, having received the industry's most prestigious recognitions, including: the John Hill Award for lifetime achievement; the Philip Dorf Award for leadership in guiding the careers of young professionals; election into the Communications Alumni Hall of Fame by the City College of New York; and the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Public Relations Society of America.

Mr. Stevens began his public relations career at Prentice-Hall, where he pioneered a series of innovative programs designed to bring that giant educational publisher closer to their private college marketplace.

His consulting background includes experience as head of the Safire Public Relations agency, founded by New York Times columnist William Safire, and later as cofounder, President and CEO of LobsenzStevens Inc., which under his direction grew to be one of the nation's best known and most successful mid-size agencies.

Following the acquisition of the LobsenzStevens agency by Publicis Groupe S.A., Mr. Stevens served as Chairman and CEO of Publicis Dialog New York immediately prior to his affiliation with Highlander Consulting.

Mr. Stevens' impressive list of accomplishments includes his roles in founding the Council of Public Relations Networks; founding the PRSA College of Fellows Mentor Program; co-founding the Council of PR Firms; authorship of numerous books and articles; extensive speaking engagements at professional and educational forums; and board memberships, including the Putnam-Westchester United Way.
