A longtime business editor, magazine packager, and content developer, Mike is a content marketing professional who co-founded Leverage Media in 2001, after running custom publishing at American Lawyer Media and Chief Executive magazine, and heading up the Business Publications Division at Faulkner & Gray. Earlier, as special reports editor at Adweek, he became an early fan of custom publishing and, after leaving Adweek, spent a year working with Gordon Andrew on developing a custom publishing arm of The PR Consulting Group.
Mike’s been an active member of the Content Council (formerly the Custom Publishing Council and the Custom Content Council) since 2001, serving as its chairman, captaining its research initiatives, inventing its award programs, and producing its magazine, Content. He was presented with the Content Council’s John Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. Mike writes and speaks frequently on topics related to content marketing, from both the brand’s and the publisher’s perspectives.
Mike’s company, Leverage Media, is an award-winning content marketing firm based in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, that develops, writes, designs, produces, and distributes a wide range of print and electronic thought leadership publications (magazines, white papers, books, annual reviews and previews, blogposts, byliners, e-newsletters, conference proceedings, and more) for law firms, financial services firms, associations, and other businesses.
